UTICA, NY…Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute is offering a new and exciting way to view and engage with art. Mobile guides, accessible via smartphones or tablets, provide visitors with a variety of tours and scavenger hunts. Access can also be gained remotely through the Museum’s website, mwpai.org/mobile-guides.
Museum Education Director April Oswald emphasized that the new guides are a way for people to enjoy a guided tour on their own, at their own pace, and from anywhere. “These guides enhance the Museum visit, both in person and remotely,” she said.
Tours offer insights from curators and artists, and scavenger hunts reveal creative challenges and new places to explore. “All the guides offer new things to find and new ways to see the art and the Museum,” Oswald added.

The Museum of Art is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
