National Grid to Host Free Webinar on Managing Summer Energy Bills
National Grid will host a free online webinar on Thursday, July 30, to help customers learn about programs that may make summer energy bills easier to manage.
The webinar will run from 11 a.m. to noon and will feature National Grid Consumer Advocates. The presentation will cover bill-management services, payment options and financial assistance programs available to qualifying customers.
Help With Rising Summer Energy Costs
Summer energy use can increase as households rely more heavily on air conditioners, fans and other cooling equipment. For families already managing tight budgets, higher utility bills can create additional financial pressure.
During the webinar, National Grid representatives will explain several options designed to help customers manage those costs. The discussion will include information about the company’s Energy Affordability Program.
National Grid’s Energy Affordability Program provides monthly bill credits to eligible customers. Customers may qualify through the Home Energy Assistance Program or participation in certain other income-based assistance programs. Credit amounts and eligibility requirements vary. (National Grid)
The company also offers budget billing, which can spread estimated annual energy costs across 12 months and reduce major seasonal changes in monthly bills.
Live Question-and-Answer Session
A live question-and-answer session will follow the presentation. Customers will have an opportunity to ask National Grid Consumer Advocates about available programs and the application process.
The webinar is free, but advance registration is required.
