This week’s Spectrum News 1 Scholar Athletes of the Week are Julia del Pino of CBA and Ryan Pelletier of Baldwinsville.
A three-sports star at CBA, del Pino excels in indoor track and field, softball and tennis, and focuses on maintaining a balance between athletics and academics.
She’s also known for her volunteer contributions to the community, and says “treating people with dignity goes a long way.”
Pelletier, a senior captain of the Baldwinsville varsity soccer team, motivates his teammates with his work ethic and leadership.
He is also a member of the executive committee for the Senior Council and Student Council.
As Scholar Athlete honorees, del Pino and Pelletier will receive a $1,000 scholarship from Spectrum.
