Release: Remsen Arts Center Announces Tuesday Night Big Band in Concert

REMSEN, NY — The Remsen Arts Center presents the Tuesday Night Big Band on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 7pm at 9627 Main Street, Remsen, NY. At the Door Prices: General Admission $10, Members $8, Students $5.

The Tuesday Night Big Band was formed in the summer of 1991. Since that time the band has spent each summer season and occasional holidays playing at parks, concert venues, and private events. The band consists of a 14 piece group, with 5 saxes, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, bass, piano, and drums. Performing music that was first popular in the 1930s and ‘40s in the “Big Band Era”, including bands led by Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Benny Goodman and many others. The Tuesday Night Big Band enjoys keeping this music alive for audience enjoyment into the 21st century plus playing more recent compositions.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by CNY Arts.
