To the Editor:
Environmental justice and community accountability are under threat as plans progress for the Clinton Regional Biosolids Hub. Rushing a massive, regional sludge facility into a local community without giving residents a direct voice or clear answers is completely unacceptable.
We must demand full transparency regarding how this facility will impact local air quality, water safety, and neighborhood traffic. Our public officials work for us, yet they are negotiating with private investment partners without making the core project documents available for open, democratic review.
A grassroots petition is currently circulating to force municipal leaders to pause all contract negotiations until full public transparency is granted. We must protect our neighborhoods from unchecked infrastructure development.
