Democrat Blake Gendebien brought his closing congressional campaign pitch to Fort Stanwix in Rome on Saturday, Oct. 31, as voters in New York’s 21st District prepared for the Nov. 3 election during the Blake Gendebien Rome rally.
Gendebien, a dairy farmer from Lisbon, faces Republican Anthony Constantino, the Amsterdam businessman behind Sticker Mule. WKTV reported that Gendebien rallied supporters outside the fort and discussed his priorities.
Healthcare and trade in the closing pitch
The Rome stop concluded Gendebien’s Harvest the Vote tour, according to Observer-Dispatch reporting by Cara Dolan Berry. The newspaper reported that he called for bipartisan cooperation, spoke about healthcare access and criticized tariffs affecting trade with Canada.
Those positions were part of Gendebien’s campaign message, not findings about what a future Congress will do.
Constantino is also making a final push in Rome. His campaign has announced a Monday, Nov. 2, rally with Vice President JD Vance. Utica Phoenix’s separate report covers the planned event and arrival information.
What voters need to know
The New York State Board of Elections lists Tuesday, Nov. 3, as Election Day, with polls open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Early voting runs through Sunday, Nov. 1, with hours set by each county.
Voters should use the board’s official poll-site lookup to confirm their assigned location. A campaign rally is not a polling place.
