Sentencing scheduled for February

Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 5, 2027, at 11 a.m. in Syracuse before Chief U.S. District Judge Brenda K. Sannes.

Prosecutors said Schreck faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in federal prison and a maximum of 20 years because of a prior New York conviction. Those are the statutory limits, not a sentence already imposed.

The office said he also faces a fine of up to $250,000 and supervised release of at least five years and up to life. Sex-offender registration will be required after his release.

Homeland Security Investigations is handling the investigation with assistance from New York State Police. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jessica Carbone and Adrian LaRochelle are prosecuting.
