UTICA – Questions on major Utica election issues went to Utica voters by telephone on Wednesday, November 1. The survey was done by the RoboCent, Inc. national polling service, Virginia Beach, VA. It was conducted for the Main Street Patriots of the Mohawk Valley, an independent grassroots group.
The Utica voters contacted came from public records at the Oneida County Board of Elections. The survey yielded the following results from those who responded:
Question 1: Which location do you support for the area’s new hospital?
Downtown Site 147 23.11%
St. Luke’s Campus 327 51.42%
Undecided 162 25.47%

Question 2: Do you support the mayor and Five Common Council Members giving themselves a 4-year Term-Limit Extension, raising the 8-year Limit enacted by the People to a 12-year Limit as decided by themselves?
Yes (Support) 69 11.54%

According to Peg Roberts, leader of the local Main Street Patriots group, “Recent events have raised concern over corruption, collusion, and control in Utica city government.”
“Entrenched politicians, a talk-show host, and news media seem to have banded together to stand in direct opposition to what we perceived as the will of “We The People,” she added.
“Our patriotic desire for truth, justice, and freedom prompted us to contact the RoboCent national polling agency to request an independent survey to determine if we are really mistaken, or if the People are being duped, lied to, misled, dishonored, and silenced,” Roberts said.
