Munson celebrates Community Arts students with exhibition opening May 29

Utica, N.Y. — Join us for a celebration of Munson’s talented adult Community Arts students with a free opening reception of the dynamic annual multimedia exhibition from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, May 29, in the Museum of Art’s Pratt Munson Gallery. The exhibition is on view through June 26 and is free and open to the public.

Showcasing a vibrant collection of paintings, drawings, ceramics, photography, mixed media, and more, the exhibition highlights the passion, creativity, and artistic growth of local artists.

Munson’s Community Arts program offers inspiring classes for kids, teens, and adults—taught by professional artists in state-of-the-art studios shared with Pratt Munson College of Art and Design in Utica. For over 60 years, the program has fostered creativity, skill, and appreciation for the arts across all ages.

Interested in taking a class? Registration is now open for the summer session. To view the upcoming class schedule or to register, visit munson.art/community-arts. Summer classes begin in July. Students choose from a variety of classes ranging from painting and ceramics to jewelry-making, fiber arts, woodworking, and digital animation. Classes are offered in the spring, summer, and fall.

The Pratt Munson Gallery is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, and is located in Fountain Elms at Munson, 310 Genesee St., Utica, N.Y.
