Scouting America Utica office operations have moved to 320 Herkimer Road, opening a new chapter for the Leatherstocking Council after decades at 1401 Genesee Street. The Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce marked the relocation with a ribbon cutting on Sept. 14, bringing council leaders, volunteers and community partners together at the new site.

“We are thrilled to open the doors of our new council home and share this exciting milestone with our community,” Scout Executive Ray Eschenbach said in the release. He said the move is intended to strengthen the organization’s regional presence and expand its impact.
The Greater Utica Chamber’s event page confirms the new address and described the ceremony as an opportunity for the public to tour the facility and learn about local Scouting programs.
Leaving a longtime Genesee Street home
The former headquarters at 1401 Genesee Street carried decades of history. The council described it as a place where thousands of young people developed skills, built friendships and learned leadership.
