If you like dinosaurs, this one’s for you: The largest traveling exhibit of life-size dinosaurs in the country is making a stop at the New York State Fairgrounds this weekend.
The Expo Center has been transformed into a scene dating back 66 million years.
Jurassic Quest includes 100 life-like dinosaurs, dino rides, live shows and interactive activities. Crew members said the goal is to provide fun, but more importantly, give kids an “edu-taining” experience.
In addition to the massive creatures, every display includes kiosks with information about their history.
“We really want to train up young scientists. ‘Edu-tainment’ is something that we really pride ourselves on at Jurassic Quest,” said Scene Manager Captain Caleb Hughes. “All of our dinosaurs are to scale. We’ve worked along paleontologists to make sure all of our dinosaur information is up to date. But, in addition to having fun, we also want to provide education for the guests that way they can learn more about dinosaurs, which is really a gateway science.”
Jurassic Quest runs Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., and on Sunday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Tickets are $22 for kids and adults, but for more on pricing or to order tickets online, visit JurassicQuest.com.
