Hot Seat: Media Monday; Oneida County Pride, Fairy Day & Body of Art — June 8, 2026 | S2:E37
“Stories are what make us and shape us.”
This week on Hot Seat: Media Monday with Ron Klopfanstein on 95.5 FM The Heat, we celebrate creativity, community, pride, identity, and the stories people carry in their hearts — and sometimes on their skin.
In S2:E37, we head to the Oneida County Pride Festival at the Clinton Arena, where the community came together for a powerful celebration of diversity, inclusion, equality, and belonging. I spoke with organizers, community members, faith leaders, and local candidates about why Pride still matters, why visibility matters, and why safe spaces matter.
Then, artist and storyteller Lorraine Krameyer joins us in studio with our own Jim Hale, Hot Seat: Media Monday photojournalist and AI content producer, to talk about International Fairy Day at the Dunham Public Library. Lorraine shares the heart behind her fairy realm, her “inner child” artwork, Mr. Figgby, the healing power of imagination, and how Jim is using AI animation to help bring her magical world to life.
Later in the show, comedian, poet, producer, and creative force JWatch joins us with Jose “King Joker” Rivera to talk about Body of Art, a tattoo exhibition and photo shoot event built around identity, fatherhood, storytelling, and the artwork people choose to carry with them.
From Pride flags to fairy crowns to tattoo stories, this episode is really about the same thing: people showing up as themselves, telling their stories, and creating community through art, love, and visibility.
