State Police say a cyber tip led investigators to search a Carlisle home and arrest a 42-year-old resident in relation to the Carlisle arrest.
A Carlisle man faces two felony charges after a child exploitation investigation that began with a cyber tip, New York State Police announced Oct. 16, following the Carlisle arrest.
Jeffery S. Walker, 42, was arrested Oct. 13, 2026, following a search of his home, according to the State Police release. Police accuse him of possessing and promoting images involving child sexual exploitation related to the Carlisle arrest.
Cyber tip led to a search warrant
The investigation began with a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, police said. Investigators executed a search warrant at Walker’s Carlisle residence on Oct. 13.
State Police in Cobleskill handled the arrest with help from the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Two felony charges announced
The charges listed in the release are:
- Promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony.
- Possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.
Walker was processed at the State Police barracks in Cobleskill and then transferred to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility to await arraignment, police said.
The Oct. 16 release did not provide an arraignment outcome, bail information or a future court date.
The charges are allegations. Walker is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
