Morristown male arrested for menacing 2nd and CPW 3rd
On April 3, 2025, State Police members arrested Andrew W. Mason, age 50, of Morristown, NY, for menacing 2nd and criminal possession of a weapon 3rd.
On April 3, 2025, at approximately 6:51 p.m., Troopers responded to Hutchins Street in the town of Norfolk for a report of a male threatening people with a machete. An investigation determined Mason, and the victim were involved in a verbal argument. During the argument Mason swung and brandished a machete towards the victim while arguing.
Mason was arrested and transported to SP Massena for processing. He was arraigned in the Town of Norfolk Court where he was released under the supervision of probation.

On April 4, 2025, Troop A Community Stabilization Unit arrested Laneille E. Jones, 23 of Buffalo, NY for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd – C Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (Previous Conviction) -D Felony, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd Over $3000- D Felony and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th (Firearm) -E Felony.
On April 4, 2025, Troop A Community Stabilization Unit, SIU Buffalo, and SP Buffalo K9, executed a search warrant on Hempstead Avenue in the city of Buffalo regarding stolen property. Investigation determined that Jones, an employee who loaded trucks at UPS in Buffalo was stealing items from the UPS trailers. Jones was arrested and transported to SP Buffalo for processing then transported to Buffalo Lockup for Centralized Arraignment.
State Police arrest Troy man following sexual abuse investigation
On April 3, 2025, State Police of Brunswick arrested Michael A. Lindsley, 33, of Troy, NY, for

- Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance, a class “C” felony
- Sexual Abuse in the first degree, a class “D” felony
- Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “D” felony
- Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “E” felony
- Forcible Touching, a class “A” misdemeanor
- Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class “A” misdemeanor
On January 12, 2025, Troopers received information concerning a past sexual abuse of a child. The investigation determined Lindsley reportedly had sexual contact and took obscene photographs of a child under the age of 11 years in a Hoosick Falls, NY, home.
Lindsley surrendered himself to SP Brunswick, where he was arrested and processed. He was arraigned at the Hoosick Falls Village court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility without bail.
State Police arrest Hudson Falls woman for possessing Child Pornography
On April 3, 2025, State Police of Greenwich, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, The Hudson Falls Police Department, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, arrested Gabriela M. Smith, 23, of Hudson Falls, NY, for Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “D” felony, and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “E” felony.
Smith is accused of promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation. Her arrest followed an investigation and the execution of a search warrant at her Hudson Falls, NY, residence on April 3, 2025. The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Smith was arrested at Hudson Falls Police Department and transported to SP Greenwich for processing. She was then transported to the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
Assistant Principal Arrested Following Investigation into Incident Involving Elementary School Student
On April 4, 2025, Duane Sharrock, 51, of Poughkeepsie, NY, was arrested by the New York State Police at SP Rhinebeck for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A misdemeanor.
The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on December 10, 2024, at the Dutchess County BOCES Elementary School in the Town of Hyde Park. SP Rhinebeck received a Law Enforcement Referral reporting that Sharrock, the school’s assistant principal, had allegedly pushed a 10-year-old student to the ground from behind during school dismissal.
A thorough investigation led to Sharrock’s arrest. He was processed at SP Rhinebeck and subsequently released on an Appearance Ticket for the Town of Hyde Park returnable on April 8, 2025, at 8:30 am.
Troop F Community Stabilization Unit Traffic Stop Leads to Felony Drug Arrest

A routine traffic stop by the New York State Police Troop F Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) led to the arrest of a Brooklyn man and the seizure of more than 110 grams of crack cocaine.
At approximately 12:30 a.m., CSU members stopped a 2018 BMW traveling northbound on the New York State Thruway in the town of Plattekill for multiple violations of New York State Vehicle and Traffic Laws. The driver, identified as Jamal L. Decoteau-Hird, 27, of Brooklyn, NY, was found in possession of over 110 grams of crack cocaine following a search. A subsequent vehicle search yielded no additional evidence.
Decoteau-Hird was transported to State Police Highland for processing and charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree Class B Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree with Intent to Sell Class B Felony
- Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law Violations
Decoteau-Hird was arraigned in Plattekill Town Court and released on his own recognizance. The investigation remains ongoing.
State Police arrest two following Fonda traffic stop
On April 4, 2025, State Police arrested Alexander Rivera, 45, of Amsterdam, NY, for:

- Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fifth degree
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree
- False Personation
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the second degree
- Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations
Amanda Giblin, 37, of Fonda, NY, was also arrested for:

- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fifth degree
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree
On April 4, 2025, at about 4:04 a.m. Troopers stopped a vehicle on East Main Street in Fonda, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver, who was later identified as Rivera, provided false identifying information but was later determined to have an active warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody, and the passenger was identified as Giblin. The investigation located felony narcotics among Giblin’s personal belongings, and she was also arrested. A further search of the vehicle discovered drug paraphernalia and more than 70 grams of a substance that field tested positive for the presence of cocaine.
Rivera and Giblin were both transported to SP Fonda for processing. Both were then arraigned at the Mohawk Town Court. Giblin was released on her own recognizance, and Rivera was remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility without bail.
Drug Arrest Following Traffic Stop on New York State Thruway

On April 3, 2025, at approximately 5:48 p.m., members of the Troop F Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) conducted a traffic stop on a 2022 Chevrolet traveling northbound on the New York State Thruway in the town of New Paltz for multiple traffic violations.
The operator, a 25-year-old female from Sandy Springs, Georgia, and her passenger, Michael T. Cole, 37, of Brooklyn, NY, were interviewed during the stop. A search of Cole revealed over 200 grams of cocaine. A subsequent search by State Police K9 Kell found no additional contraband in the vehicle.
The operator was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets and released. Cole was arrested and transported to the State Police barracks in Highland, where he was processed and charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree Class A Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree with Intent to Sell Class B Felony
Cole was arraigned at the Ulster County Court Centralized Arraignment Part and remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Traffic Stop Leads to Seizure of Cocaine, Fentanyl, and Drug Paraphernalia in Ulster County

On April 3, 2025, at approximately 9:08 p.m., members of the New York State Police Troop F Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) conducted a traffic stop on a 2024 Buick traveling northbound on the New York State Thruway in the town of Lloyd for multiple violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.
During the stop, troopers interviewed the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as Teddy Pulliam, age 57, of Schenectady, NY. State Police K9 Kell conducted an exterior search of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics.
A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of:
- Over 800 grams of cocaine
- One gram of fentanyl
- A digital scale
- Packaging materials
- More than $1,900 in U.S. currency
Pulliam was taken into custody and transported to State Police Highland for processing. He was charged with the following:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree Class A Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree Class B Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree Class A Misdemeanor
- Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree – Packaging Class A Misdemeanor
- Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree – Scales Class A Misdemeanor
- Multiple violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law
Pulliam was arraigned in the Town of Lloyd Court Centralized Arraignment Part and remanded to Ulster County Jail.
