Registration open for summer Community Arts classes at Munson

Utica, N.Y. — Make this summer a season of creativity at Munson! Registration is now open for Munson’s Community Arts classes, offering hands-on opportunities for all ages and skill levels to learn, explore, and make art together. Classes begin in July and are available at munson.art/community-arts.

Whether you’re interested in drawing, painting, jewelry-making, digital animation, or even knitting, Munson’s summer lineup has something for everyone. Special offerings this season include Painting “En Plein Air,” Summer Sewing Studio, Intro to Digital Illustration, and more. Plus, weekend workshops make it easy to dive into something new—like Eco-Dyeing Fabric or creating a Bezel-Set Pendant.

Munson is thrilled to once again offer free summer Community Arts Classes for kids and teens thanks to support from the MetLife Foundation with additional funding provided by Sheila and Ron Cuccaro and by the Karam Mandour Fund at the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties. To ensure as many students as possible can benefit from our art classes, students are limited to one class in this program.

Scholarships are available for one class per semester for students with demonstrated financial need. Award amounts vary based on available funds and number of applicants. To apply, visit the website or contact the Community Arts office at 315-797-8260 or communityclasses@munson.art. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

For the full schedule of classes and to register, visit munson.art/community-arts.
