“I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston has been certified Diamond in the US.
Whitney now holds the record for most RIAA Diamond certifications by any female artist in history.
Houston recorded a rendition of Dolly Parton 1973 hit song for the 1992 film The Bodyguard which she stars in with Kevin Costner. The global hit spent weeks at the number one spot of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, setting a new record at the time, becoming one of the best-selling singles of all time, and the best-selling single by a woman.
