Onondaga County election officials have finished a re-count of early votes and are now moving on to count absentee ballots.
Officials in the county are continuing to monitor many close races, including the 10th District County legislator, Geddes Town Council, and Solvay mMayor.
They say the Geddes Town Council race between Democrat Marcia Ferguson and Republican John Loebbler has razor thin margins, and they expect the absentee votes to be fairly even.
In the race for Solvay mayor, only 22 votes separate the candidates, and officials say it could end up in a hand recount if the margin slips under 20 votes.
And in the 10th district, which covers Minoa, Fayetteville and Manlius, officials say the abenstee ballots are skewing Democratic and could give those candidates a chance to catch up.
The races will be officially be certified on November 24.
