Jim Finch is doing his part in the relief efforts for those affected by the recent tornadoes that swept through parts of the South and Midwest over the weekend, Today reports.
Following a press conference hosted by Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, confirming that at least 74 people in the surrounding areas died as a result of the tornadoes, Finch chose a selfless act for those in need. The Paducah, Kentucky, native took his grill and drove to Mayfield to help feed those in need.
ABC journalist Victor Ordoñez posted Finch’s kind act on Twitter, and the clip has since gained more than 5.3 million views.
“This man drove half an hour with a grill and a truckload of food and parked right in the middle of #Mayfield, Kentucky,” Ordoñez wrote.
Finch said he’s aware that many were without power, water and basic essentials, and so he decided to “do what I can do.”

“We got hamburgers, chicken, I got sausage, eggs,” he said. “Just real simple stuff you can have and not worry about making a mess, grab and go type of food.”
Ordoñez uploaded a video of the damage in Mayfield prior to Finch’s arrival, showcasing the devastation that befell the city.
Despite the circumstances, one Twitter user acknowledged and praised Finch’s gesture.

At least 88 people in five states have been killed in the storms that have developed, USA Today reports. The tornado swept through Arkansas to Illinois.
