Utica, NY (August 2026) — The Good News Foundation will launch its 2026 Mohawk Valley Gives
campaign with a Kickoff Event on Wednesday, August 19, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. The kickoff event will
bring together local business leaders, community members, supporters and friends to celebrate the
power of giving and learn how they can help expand The Good News Foundation’s impact throughout the
region.
Guests will enjoy light refreshments and networking opportunities while hearing inspiring stories of hope,
healing, and transformation happening right here in the Mohawk Valley. Attendees will also learn more
about The Good News Foundation’s free support groups, faith-based programs, spiritual enrichment and
fellowship opportunities for individuals and families navigating grief, caregiving, and relationship
struggles.
The kickoff event marks the beginning of The Good News Foundation’s outreach for Mohawk Valley Gives,
the region’s community-wide giving campaign. Early giving begins September 14, with Giving Day set for
September 18. Donations made through the campaign will help the Foundation continue offering
welcoming spaces where people can find compassion, connection, spiritual growth and hope during
some of life’s most difficult seasons.
“Our MV Gives Kickoff Event is an opportunity to connect, celebrate and see firsthand how generosity
changes lives,” said Brian Saville, CEO of The Good News Foundation. “Together, we can make an even
greater impact during Mohawk Valley Gives and spread more good news throughout our community.”
Community members, local businesses and anyone interested in supporting the Foundation’s mission
are invited to attend.
