Syracuse Groups Rally Against Hochul’s Climate Program Delays Amid Trump Threats

From local organizations representing college students to elders, advocates urge Gov. Hochul to stop delaying NY’s Cap and Invest program in order to protect NY from the Trump administration

Syracuse, NY –  On Friday, Mar. 21, at 10 a.m., Citizen Action of New York, Sierra Club Central-Northern New York Group, New York Public Interest Research Group at SU and ESF, College Democrats at SU, Third Act Upstate New York, Urban Jobs Task Force, Indivisible groups across Central New York, and many other organizations will rally outside of Governor Hochul’s regional office to urge Hochul to stand up to the Trump administration’s attack on the climate. This event is in coordination with other events happening across the state during this week’s New York Renews week of action.

The groups will demand that Hochul stops delaying the pollution-reducing Cap and Invest program and also passes the NY HEAT Act, highlighting how Gov. Hochul needs to be more active in confronting the Trump administration’s attack on our environment, climate, and public health.
