The search was carried out at 3 Caton Drive by the Troop D Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, with assistance from the Community Stabilization Unit and a State Police K-9 team.

Investigators reported recovering approximately 4.6 grams of cocaine during the search. State Police also listed several other items:

DeWitt man faces felony and misdemeanor charges
State Police identified the man arrested as Maileek D. Jones, 38. Police said he was charged with:
- Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a Class B felony.
- Criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a Class D felony.
- Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a Class A misdemeanor.
- Three counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanors.
Police said Jones was taken into custody without incident, processed and transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center for arraignment.
Central New York enforcement operation
The case is part of the work of Troop D, which covers a large section of Central New York. The involvement of the Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team indicates the warrant was handled as a narcotics-enforcement investigation, although State Police did not provide details about how long the investigation had been underway.
The public release also did not say whether anyone else was present when the warrant was executed or whether additional arrests are expected.
