Central Square Man Arrested on Multiple Sex Offense Charges

Troop D 1/23/25 NY2500060479

On January 23, 2025, State Police arrested Nolan R. Ostrowski, age 25, from Central Square, for:

 

  • Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child (class “D” felony)
  • Possession of Sexual Performance by a Child (class “E” felony)
  • Obscenity 3rd degree (class “A” misdemeanor)
  • Public lewdness (class “B” misdemeanor)

The investigation stemmed from an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force search warrant related to the transmission of child sexual exploitation material via the internet.

The arrest was a result of a joint investigation by members of the Computer Crime Unit – Troop D, the State Police Troop D Bureau of Criminal Investigation – Pulaski, ICAC – Albany, and Homeland Security Investigations.  

If anyone has any information regarding any of these incidents or any other incidents involving Nolan R. Ostrowski, they are asked to contact New York State Police at (315)-366-6000.

Ostrowski was transported to the Oswego County CAP court to await centralized arraignment.


Tupper Lake female arrested for arson 5th and criminal mischief

On January 22, 2025, State Police members arrested Emilee J. Davis, age 43, of Tupper Lake, NY, for arson 5th ( 2 counts), criminal mischief 3rd ( 2 counts), and criminal mischief 4th. 
 

On January 22, 2025, at approximately 6:12 p.m., Troopers responded to SP Tupper Lake for a report of a criminal mischief complaint occurring at a residence on Tamarac Drive in the town of Tupper Lake. An investigation determined Davis was intentionally burning and damaging items belonging to the victim. 
 

Davis was arrested and transported to SP Tupper Lake for processing. She was arraigned in the Town of Tupper Lake Court and released on her own recognizance.


State Police Investigate Personal Injury Accident in Pamelia

On January 23, 2025, at approximately 11:25 a.m., State Police responded to personal injury accident on Interstate 81 north in the town of Pamelia. 

 

A preliminary investigation revealed a black 2015 Dodge operated by Dustin K. Reitz, age 55, from Theresa, NY, was traveling north on Interstate 81 when he went off the roadway striking the County Route 16 overpass bridge.

Operator Dustin K. Reitz, and passengers Dustin H. Reitz, age 12, from Theresa, NY, Eric K. Reitz, age 13, from Theresa, NY, were transported to Samaritan Medical Center for treatment of non-life threating injuries.

The State Police were assisted on scene by Evans Mills Ambulance, Pamelia Fire Department, North Pole Fire Department, and Van Tassel Towing & Recovery.

The investigation is continuing.


State Police arrest Melrose man for DWI and felony drug possession following Clifton Park crash

On January 19, 2025, State Police of Clifton Park arrested John V. Reinhart, 45, of Melrose, NY, for

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fourth degree
  • Criminal Possession of Cannabis in the third degree
  • Obstructing Governmental Administration in the second degree
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree
  • Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

On January 19, 2025, at about 3:35 a.m. Troopers responded to the reports of a one-car crash on State Route 146 in Clifton Park, NY.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as Reinhart Reinhart was uncooperative with the investigation. While being taken into custody, He resisted arrest. Further investigation discovered felony-weight narcotics and an illegal amount of cannabis in Reinhart’s vehicle.

Reinhart was transported to SP Clifton Park for processing, where he refused to provide a sample to determine the content of his blood. He was arraigned at the Clifton Park Town Court, where he was remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.


Over 50 animals removed from property in Chenango County

On January 22, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the New York State Police executed a search warrant at a property on Mudge King Road in the town of North Norwich as part of an investigation into possible animal neglect. 

The investigation resulted in the removal of over four-dozen animals.  It was determined that 30 horses, a pig, seven sheep, four goats, four chickens, seven dogs and three cats were in need of immediate medical care.  The animals were transported to various animal rescue locations throughout the area.  In addition, multiple deceased animals were located throughout the property. 

The landowners are cooperating with the New York State Police at this time. 

The New York State Police was assisted by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, Chenango County Office of Emergency Management, the Susquehanna SPCA, Chenango County SPCA, National Human Society and numerous animal care professionals and advocates. 

The investigation is on-going.

Two Poughkeepsie Residents Arrested on Felony Drug Charges

On January 21, 2025, Troopers stopped a 2012 Dodge Charger on Route 55 in the Town of LaGrange when the driver failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign.  Subsequent to an investigation, the occupants of the vehicle were found to possess approximately 1.22 kilograms of cocaine.  Arturo Bonilla, age 25, and Taji Parker, age 24, both of Poughkeepsie, NY were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1stDegree, a  Class A Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a Class B Felony.

Parker and Bonilla were arraigned in the Town of Stanford Court before the Hon. Dennis Buchal and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.  They are scheduled to appear in the Town of LaGrange Court at a later date.


State Police in Troop G make notable DWI arrests 1/14- 1/21

On January 14, 2025, at about 9:45 p.m., State Police of Sand Lake responded to the area of Overlook Drive in Sand Lake, NY, for the reports of a suspicious vehicle. On arrival, the Troopers located the vehicle, which was still parked and running on the same street, with the driver asleep at the wheel. The driver was woken and identified as Cade W. Pytell, 27, of West Sand Lake, NY.  Pytell was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to SP Sand Lake for processing, where he recorded a 0.26% BAC. He was issued tickets returnable to the Sand Lake Town Court on February 17, 2025, and released to a sober third party.

On January 18, 2025, at about 1:46 a.m. State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol attempted to stop a vehicle on I-787 in Watervliet, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The vehicle failed to comply for a short distance but eventually pulled over. The driver was identified as Carolyn M. Figueroa, 30, of Troy, NY. Figueroa was arrested for Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the third degree, Driving While Intoxicated, and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Latham for processing, where she recorded a 0.19% BAC. Figueroa was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Watervliet City Court on February 11, 2025, and released to a sober party.

On January 18, 2025, at about 7:05 p.m., State Police of Queensbury responded to the reports of a two-car crash on Call Street in Lake Luzerne, NY. One of the drivers involved was identified as Nicholas Cioffi, 36, of Porter Corners, NY. Cioffi was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Queensbury for processing, where he recorded a 0.19% BAC. Cioffi was issued tickets returnable to the Lake Luzerne Town Court on February 5, 2025, and released. The driver and the passenger of the other vehicle were transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the crash.

On January 18, 2025, at about 8:15 p.m., State Police of Granville responded to the area of County Route 24 in Granville, NY, for the reports of a one-car crash into a utility pole. The driver was identified as Rene Ambrosi, 56, of Whitehall, NY. Ambrosi was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Granville for processing, where he recorded a 0.20% BAC. Ambrosi was then transported to the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.

On January 19, 2025, at about 9:00 p.m., State Police of Clifton Park responded to the report of a one-car crash off the roadway in the area of Dunsbach Road in Halfmoon, NY. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Alfonso Hunter-Myer, 33, of Clifton Park, NY. Hunter-Myers was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Clifton Park for processing where he recorded a 0.18% BAC. Hunter-Myers was issued tickets returnable to the Halfmoon Town Court on February 26, 2025, and released to a sober third party.
