State Police in Troop G make notable DWI arrests 1/22- 2/4
On January 22, 2025, at about 10:10 p.m., State Police of Sank Lake stopped a vehicle on State Route 22 in Stephentown, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Clayton W. Many, 29, of Poughkeepsie, NY. Many was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Sand Lake for processing, where he recorded a 0.14% BAC. Further investigation discovered Many has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. Many was then arraigned at the Schodack Town Court, where he was released on his own recognizance and turned over to a sober third party.
On January 23, 2025, at about 7:56 p.m., State Police of Guilderland responded to a one-car crash into a tree off the roadway in the area of Swift Road in New Scotland, NY. The vehicle’s driver was located nearby and identified as Mark E. Weber, 26, of Voorheesville, NY. Weber was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP New Scotland for processing, where he recorded a 0.20% BAC. Further investigation discovered Weber has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. He was issued tickets returnable to the New Scotland Town Court on February 27, 2025, and released.
On January 25, 2025, at about 1:25 p.m., State Police of Mayfield responded to the reports of a one-car crash off the roadway of Paradise Point Road in Mayfield, NY. The driver was uninjured and identified as Harrison J. Harper, 25, Mayfield, NY. Harper was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Mayfield, where he recorded a 0.24% BAC. Harper was issued tickets returnable to the Mayfield Town Court on February 4, 2025, and released.
On January 25, 2025, at about 8:48 p.m., State Police of Clifton Park responded to the report of a two-car crash on Ushers Road in Clifton Park, NY. The uninjured driver of the vehicle at fault for the crash was identified as Armandi Roblero Vazquez, 32, of Ballston Lake, NY. Roblero Vazquez was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Clifton Park for processing, where he recorded a 0.21% BAC. Roblero Vazquez was issued tickets returnable to the Clifton Park Town Court on January 28, 2025, and released. All three occupants, including two minors, of the other vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and were transported to Ellis Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
On January 26, 2025, at about 2:24 a.m. State Police of Wilton were on patrol when they discovered a crash in the area of Van Buren Street and Moreau Drive in South Glens Falls, NY. The uninjured driver of the vehicle involved was identified as Caleb T. Canty, 27, of Glens Falls, NY. The investigation determined Canty lost control of his vehicle, struck the guide rail, and then a car trailer attached to a parked and unoccupied vehicle. He was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. Canty was transported to SP Wilton for processing, where he was uncooperative with the investigation and refused to provide a sample to determine the alcohol content of his blood. Further investigation discovered Canty has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years, and he did not have a valid driver’s license. He was arraigned at the Moreau Town Court, where he was released on his own recognizance.
On January 29, 2025, at about 9:31 a.m. State Police of Greenwich responded to the reports of a one-car crash off the roadway in the area of County Route 68 in White Creek, NY. The uninjured driver was identified as Marshall L. Keyes, 43, of Hoosick Falls, NY. Keyes was arrested for Driving While intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Greenwich for processing, where he recorded a 0.25% BAC. Keyes was issued tickets returnable to the White Creek Town Court on February 20, 2025, and released.
On January 31, 2025, at about 5:50 p.m., State Police of Brunswick responded to the reports of a one-car crash off the roadway in the area of Grange Road in Brunswick, NY. The driver was identified as Jennifer S. Wesolowski, 48, of Rensselaer, NY. Wesolowski was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Brunswick for processing, where she recorded a 0.29% BAC. Wesolowski was issued tickets returnable to the Brunswick Town Court on February 12, 2025, and released.
On February 1, 2025, at about 8:20 p.m., State Police of Clifton Park stopped to check on a vehicle parked on the shoulder of I-87 in Clifton Park, NY. The vehicle’s driver was identified as Danika T. Mcpherson, 28, of Clifton Park, NY. Mcpherson was determined not to have a valid driver’s license and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree, and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She was transported to SP Clifton Park for processing, where she recorded a 0.19% BAC. Mcpherson was issued tickets returnable to the Clifton Park Town Court on February 29, 2025, and released.
On February 3, 2025, at about 5:46 p.m. State Police of Saratoga responded to the report of a two-car crash on State Route 67 in Malta, NY. The at fault driver was identified as Joshua D. Soden, 29 of Saratoga Springs, NY. Soden was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. He was transported to SP Saratoga for processing where he recorded a 0.19% BAC. Further investigation determined Soden has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years. Soden was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Malta Town Court on February 27, 2025, and released. The driver and the passenger of the other vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the crash and were transported to Saratoga Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
On February 4, 2025, at about 9:15 p.m., State Police of Greenwich responded to the reports of a disturbance in Hebron, NY. The investigation determined Jason E. Mcfarland, 42, of Hebron, NY, had driven to the incident location with a child under the age of 16 in the vehicle. While at the location and during a verbal altercation in the vehicle, Mcfarland reported attempted to cause injury to the child. During the investigation, Mcfarland displayed signs of intoxication. He was arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child (Leandra’s Law), attempted Assault in the third degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and another Vehicle, and Traffic Law violation. Mcfarland was transported to SP Greenwich for processing, where he was uncooperative with the investigation, and he refused to provide a sample to determine the alcohol content of his blood. He was then turned over to the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
On February 4, 2025, at about 8:29 p.m., State Police assigned to the Northway Interstate Patrol responded to the report of a one-car crash in the area of Park Avenue in Clifton Park, NY. The uninjured driver was identified as Susan A. Adonnino, 51, of Clifton Park, NY. Adonnino was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. She was transported to SP Clifton Park for processing, where she recorded a 0.21% BAC. Adonnino was issued tickets returnable to the Clifton Park town court on February 19, 2025, and released to a sober third party.
State Police arrest Whitehall man for possessing Hallucinogens
On February 5, 2025, State Police of Greenwich arrested Paul R. Wilson, 38, of Whitehall, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree.
On February 5, 2025, at about 7:41 p.m., Troopers were assisting the New York State Division of Parole with locating Wilson regarding a parole violation. Wilson was located in the area of State Route 4 in Hampton, NY, and while being taken into custody, it was discovered he was in possession of more than 80 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.
Wilson was transported to SP Greenwich for processing. He was then transported to the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
Troopers respond to multiple vehicle crash in Greene
On February 7, 2025, at approximately 11:56 a.m., New York State Police at Norwich responded to a crash involving multiple vehicles on State Route 12 near County Road 2 in the town of Greene.
An initial investigation at the scene indicates that a tractor trailer was traveling southbound when the tractor trailer sideswiped a Ford Fusion that was waiting in a turning lane to turn left into Chenango Sales. The tractor trailer continued into the northbound lane and struck a Dodge Ram 2500 head-on the tractor trailer then continued into the Chenango Sales lot striking multiple unoccupied new vehicles.
The driver of the Dodge Ram was transported to UHS Wilson Medical Center by ambulance for what are believed to be serious but non-life threatening injuries. The passenger in the Dodge Ram was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital for what appear to be serious but non-life threatening injures.
The driver of the Ford Fusion was transported to UHS Wilson Medical Center for what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the tractor trailer was checked out by EMS but not transported to a local hospital.
The New York State Police Commercial Vehicle Unit responded to the scene. DEC Spill Response was also contacted for oil and fuel that spilled.
The investigation is on-going.

State Police investigate a fatal collision on State Route 11
On February 6, 2025, at approximately 8:44 p.m., State Police responded to a fatal collision on State Route 11 in the town of Clinton. The investigation revealed that a brown 2014 GMC pickup truck, driven by 20-year-old Brian T. Nolette from Malone, NY, was traveling west on State Route 11 when he lost control of the vehicle and veered into the oncoming lane of traffic. At the same time, a 2022 tractor-trailer, operated by 55-year-old Matthew W. Barney from Brasher Falls, NY, was traveling east on State Route 11. Barney’s truck collided with Nolette’s pickup truck, which he was unable to avoid. Both vehicles left the roadway, struck a snow embankment, and came to rest on the south shoulder. Barney was transported to CVPH with non-life-threatening injuries, while Nolette was pronounced dead at the scene.
Pursuit in the town of Fowler leads to drug arrest
On February 6th, 2025, New York State Police patrolling the town of Fowler attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a sedan with a malfunctioning brake light. When emergency lights were activated, the sedan refused to pull over, prompting a pursuit that ended at a residence in Fowler. This residence was identified as belonging to the driver, Jason A. Guinup, age 44.
When officers ordered Guinup out of his vehicle, he disregarded their commands and fled toward his house, where he was quickly apprehended.
The investigation revealed that Guinup was in possession of a small container containing approximately 5 grams of methamphetamine and cocaine, as well as 15 envelopes of heroin laced with fentanyl and oxycodone pills.
The Troop B Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team charged Guinup with multiple offenses, including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fourth degree, classified as a Class C felony. He was arraigned in Gouverneur Town Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility without bail.
New York State Police Pursuit Ends in Rochester; Three Taken into Custody
On February 7, 2025, at approximately 1:20 p.m., the New York State Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2024 Audi passenger car traveling eastbound on the New York State Thruway I-90 in the town of Batavia. The vehicle operator failed to comply, and a pursuit was initiated. The vehicle continued onto I-490 east. The New York State Police terminated pursuing the vehicle as it entered the city of Rochester. New York State Police Aviation continued to monitor the pursuit, and the vehicle ultimately stopped on Arnett Blvd near Genesee Street in the city of Rochester, where three occupants were taken into custody.
The City of Rochester Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the Greece Police Department, and the ATF assisted with this investigation.Charges are pending, and additional information will be released in the future as this is an active and ongoing investigation.
State Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the individuals and vehicles involved in this hit-and-run collision
On February 6, 2025, at approximately 6:47 a.m., State Police responded to the Border View Grocery gas station on Ridge Road in Champlain for a hit-and-run accident resulting in personal injury. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2014 Kia Sorento, driver, identified as Heather F. Spinner, age 44, of Rouses Point, NY, and passenger Matthew J. LaFountain, age 30, of Mooers, NY were parked when a half-green, half-black Chevrolet Silverado pickup backed into them and then fled the scene. Spinner and LaFountain were medically treated by Champlain EMS for complaints of back pain. Both signed off on more medical treatment at the hospital.
State Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the individuals and vehicle involved in this hit-and-run collision. Anyone with information is asked to call the New York State Police at 518-563-3761.


State Police investigate a fatal fire in the town of Rossie
On February 8, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., State Police responded to a fully engulfed structure fire on County Route 3 in the town of Rossie. Local fire departments extinguished the fire and were able to enter the residence. Unfortunately, an individual was found deceased inside.
State Police spoke with the New York State Fire Investigator at the scene, and the St. Lawrence County Coroner was also present, ordering the removal of the deceased.
An autopsy has been scheduled for February 11, 2025, at Canton-Potsdam Hospital by Forensic Pathologist Dr. Scott LaPoint to determine the identity of the individual as well as the cause and manner of death.
This is an ongoing investigation.
State Police were assisted at the scene by personnel from New York State Fire, Oxbow Fire, Brier Hill Fire, Hammond Fire, and Gouverneur Fire and Rescue.
A multi-agency ICAC operation leads to arrest in the town of Plattsburgh
On February 6th and 7th, 2025, a multi-agency operation focused on internet crimes against children was conducted in the town of Plattsburgh.
William H. Chase, age 67, of Lyon Mountain, NY, was charged with attempted rape 2nd and disseminating indecent material to minors 1st.
Alexander G. Buck, age 22, of Plattsburgh, NY, was charged with attempted rape 2nd.
Anthony F. Yelle, age 42, of West Chazy, NY, was charged with attempted rape 2nd.
Casey A. Ratliff, age 33, of Peru, NY, was charged with attempted rape 2nd.
On February 6, 2025, State Police members, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, and Homeland Security worked together to set up arrangements for possible encounters between adults and children. An investigation determined William H. Chase believed he was going to meet a 13-year-old child and engage in sexual activity. Chase arrived at the location where he intended to meet the child and was quickly taken into custody before any encounter with a child could happen.
Chase was arrested and taken to SP Plattsburgh for processing. He was later released with appearance tickets and given a return court date at the Town of Plattsburgh Court for February 11, 2025.
On February 7, 2025, State Police members, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Homeland Security communicated with three different men who intended to meet children believed to be 13 years old. An investigation determined Alexander G. Buck, Casey, A. Ratliff, and Anthony F. Yelle were in contact with what they believed to be a 13-year-old child. They all were actively arranging a place to meet to engage in sexual activity with the 13-year-old.
At different times, Buck, Ratliff, and Yelle were scheduled to arrive at the prearranged location. However, when they arrived, they were taken into custody before any interaction with a child could take place.
They were arrested and taken to SP Plattsburgh for processing. Buck, Ratliff, and Yelle were released on pre-trial release and are required to appear in the Town of Plattsburgh Court on February 13, 2025.
