SOUTH GLENS FALLS, N.Y. — A homeowner shot an alleged intruder during an early-morning home invasion Tuesday in South Glens Falls, according to New York State Police. This incident highlights the increasing concern over safety in the area related to the South Glens Falls home invasion.
State Police and the South Glens Falls Police Department responded to a home on Main Street at approximately 4:39 a.m. on Oct. 6 after receiving a report of a home invasion.

Police say unknown person entered occupied home
Investigators said an individual who was unknown to the homeowner entered the occupied residence. The homeowner then shot the individual, according to State Police.
The homeowner and other people inside the house were not injured.
The person who was shot was transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound. State Police said the injury is believed to be non-life-threatening.
