Mechanicville Woman Charged in Alleged Assault on EMS Providers

A Mechanicville woman faces two felony assault charges after State Police said two emergency medical providers were injured while transporting her to a hospital in a case linked to the Mechanicville EMS assault.

Jennifer Euber, 36, was arrested October 29 on two counts of second-degree assault, according to an October 30 New York State Police announcement.

What police reported

Troopers said they responded around 1:49 p.m. on October 28 to a report involving an ambulance heading to Samaritan Hospital. Troy Police assisted the EMS crew near Oakwood Avenue in Brunswick, and the ambulance continued to the hospital.

State Police allege Euber kicked and struck two providers while receiving treatment and being transported, causing injuries. The release did not describe the severity of those injuries.

Case remains an allegation

Police said Euber was arrested after leaving the medical facility, processed at State Police Brunswick and arraigned in Brunswick Town Court. She was released under the supervision of the Rensselaer County Probation Department.

The charges are allegations. Euber is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. The police announcement did not include a response from her or an attorney.
