Snoop Dogg reveals passing of his mother Beverly Tate


Hip-hop mogul Snoop Dogg mother  Beverly Broadus Green has passed away at 70 years old. The rapper confirmed his mother’s death on October 24. The rapper went on social media to share tribute posts to his mom.

“Mama thank u for having me,” Snoop Dog wrote in the caption of post featuring a photo of himself and his  mom.

Broadus Green died after a lengthy illness. Earlier this year, Snoop asked fans to pray for her, writing that she had “opened her eyes to c us and let us know she still fighting.”

Broadus Green was an evangelist. author of a book published in 2014 titled Real Love II. The description of the book says its “the detailed journey of a celebrity mom and extraordinary woman … mother of four sons, including rapper/hip-hop artist, Snoop Dogg.” It adds that the story “shares her journey from her roots in the Deep South to the bright lights of Hollywood.”

“It’s more than a sharing of her experiences,” the description adds, “but it’s her story about how she learns just how deep God loves her and that it is His love that is truly the real thing.”

Born in McComb, Mississippi, on April 27, 1951, Broadus Green celebrated her 70th birthday this year.
