Rome YMCA and Hannaford Supermarkets Provide Free Health Seminars

Kicking off a new monthly collaboration with Hannaford Supermarkets, the Rome Family YMCA offers a free, public health program on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 11 am – noon, 301 W. Bloomfield St.

“Healthy Heart as We Age,” presented by Hannaford Supermarket’s registered dietician, will focus on heart health and the aging process.

The program is free and open to the public. No registration is required.

“This is the first of monthly programs focusing on how small and large changes in daily life can improve our overall health and well-being,” explained Adam Chrisman, Rome YMCA Youth and Family Program Coordinator. “We invite everyone in the community to attend.”

“In addition, mark your calendars for ‘Understanding Diabetes and Reducing Risk’ on Wednesday, February 19, 11 am – noon, ” Chrisman continued.

You will have an opportunity to visit an information table with our guest dietician to gain insights on managing and preventing diabetes, empowering you to make informed decisions about your health and implement impactful changes for a healthier future.

The Rome YMCA is located at 301 W. Bloomfield St.
