MVCC to Offer Free Environmental Remediation Training For Low-Income Veterans

    MVCC to offer free environmental remediation training for low-income veterans

    Mohawk Valley Community College, through a grant from the Dominion Foundation, is offering a free environmental remediation training for veterans with low-income status. These classes are designed to provide critical certifications and training to improve employability. Interested individuals must provide proof of veteran and low-income status.

    Classes include:
    ·         OSHA (10 hours) – 8 a.m.-1 p.m.  Friday, March 24  Monday, March 27
    ·         Lead Worker (16 hours) – 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, April 4 Wednesday, April 5
    ·         HAZWOPER (40 hours) – 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, April 6, through Wednesday, April 12

    All classes will be held at 335 Catherine St., Utica, next door to the thINCubator, and all materials will be provided. If interested, please contact Terésa Fava-Schram, coordinator of Workforce Development at MVCC, at 315.792.5681 to request an application and reserve your spot in the class.
