MVCC to offer free Certified Production Technician training to dislocated workers

Through a grant from the New York State Department of9 a.m.-noon on Tuesdays through Fridays from Sept. 12 through Dec. 1 on the Utica Campus. There will be additional testing days at the end of each module.

This training session will feature four individual certificate modules including Safety; Quality Practices and Measurement; Manufacturing Processes and Production; and Maintenance Awareness.

CPTs are individuals who demonstrate mastery of the core competencies of manufacturing production through successful completion of the certification assessments. The goal of this program is to raise the skill level of production workers to help them find higher-paying jobs and help them increase their company’s productivity and competitiveness.
