Utica, N.Y. — On Jan. 2, 2025, Munson will offer an Art Alive! Family Day with free crafts and performances by Dr. Kaboom!, who uses humor and theatrics to ignite curiosity and inspire a love for science in both kids and adults. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with free performances happening at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Sinnott Family – Bank of Utica Auditorium and is open to the public. The Terrace Café will also be open with a family-friendly menu.
From explosive experiments to dazzling demonstrations, mad scientist Doktor Kaboom’s trademark blend of comedy and education tackles concepts in physics, chemistry, and engineering, making complex ideas accessible and exciting. Expect lots of laughs, plenty of audience participation, and jaw-dropping moments as Doktor Kaboom! proves that science is not only essential but incredibly fun.
