Munson Festival Art Show registration open for 2026 

 

Utica, N.Y. — Register online for the 2026 Munson Festival Art Show now through June 20! A highlight of Munson’s Arts Festival—the area’s longest-running summertime celebration of arts and community—the Festival Art Show will once again be on view in the Museum of Art’s Root Court. Registration forms are available at Munson’s welcome desk or online at munson.art/arts-festival.

 

The Arts Festival kicks off Saturday, July 11, with the Munson Car Show and Fountain Elms Invitational, and continues through Sunday, July 19. The weeklong celebration features artist demonstrations, crafts for kids, live concerts, and the Festival Art Show as its centerpiece.

 

A nonrefundable $15 registration fee applies, payable by cash, check, or credit card. Registration is free for Munson Members, high school students, and SNAP/EBT cardholders. Prepayment can be made online.

 

Artwork drop-off is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, at the Museum. Adult artists and high school students (grades 9–12) who live within a 40-mile radius of Utica are eligible to submit one work for consideration. Not all submissions will be exhibited.

 

Eligible media include paintings, photographs, prints, drawings, computer-generated art, and small sculptures. Crafts, films, and videos will not be accepted. All work must be securely framed. Watercolors, drawings, prints, and photographs must be framed under plexiglass. Maximum framed dimensions are 44 x 48 x 2 inches; sculpture dimensions may not exceed 24 x 24 x 24 inches.
