Three championships went into Friday’s Halloween SmackDown. All three stayed with their champions, but Sami Zayn needed a second chance and a belt shot to leave with his. Finn Bálor supplied the night’s biggest surprise, returning as the Demon and sending Gunther through the announce table. These SmackDown results showcase the thrilling action of the evening.

Good morning, wrestling fans. This Halloween edition covers the October 30 SmackDown broadcast and CMLL’s Friday Day of the Dead show, then looks ahead to tonight’s NXT and AEW cards. Saturday’s taped Collision results are not included.

SmackDown: every match and finish

WWE’s official results confirm successful defenses by Chelsea Green, Rey Fenix and Zayn. The show took place at the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia. Danhausen hosted the Halloween special.

For detailed match analysis and further insights, check out the full SmackDown results.

Chelsea Green defeats Nikki Bella, retains WWE Women’s Championship

Nikki’s Rack Attack 2.0 nearly ended Green’s reign, but the champion reached the ropes. Green then caught the challenger in a small package for the pin. The result kept Green’s champion-versus-champion confrontation with Liv Morgan on course.

Morgan came out afterward and belittled Green. Green answered with the Unprettier. Tiffany Stratton landed her moonsault on Morgan, but Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez stopped her Money in the Bank plan. IYO SKY intervened to help clear the ring. There was no completed cash-in and no title change.

Rey Fenix defeats Ricky Saints, retains AAA World Cruiserweight Championship

Saints targeted Fenix’s mask and pushed the champion through a series of near-falls. Fenix survived the challenger’s offense and finished with a Mexican Muscle Buster. It was Fenix, not Saints, who left with the championship.

Jade Cargill defeats Tatum Paxley

Paxley attacked before the bell and repeatedly threatened Cargill with quick pin attempts. B-Fab interfered while the referee was distracted, and Alexa Bliss stepped in against the ringside advantage. Cargill finished Paxley with a pump kick and Jaded.

Trick Williams wins by disqualification, then Zayn wins the restart

The main event produced two decisions, not a championship change followed by a recapture. Johnny Gargano pulled Williams away from a cover, bringing a disqualification. Williams won that decision, but the championship stayed with Zayn.

Nick Aldis ordered everyone away from ringside and restarted the match under no-disqualification rules. The fight expanded to weapons and the crowd. Williams landed the Trick Shot for a near-fall, but Zayn used the referee as a shield, delivered a low blow and struck Williams with the championship belt. Zayn scored the pin and retained.

The Demon returns and Gunther pays for crashing the party

Gunther interrupted Danhausen’s Halloween presentation and attacked the host and his smaller costumed helpers. The comedy turned into a confrontation when the lights changed and Bálor emerged as the Demon.

Bálor drove Gunther through a table in the ring, then climbed a ladder and delivered a Coup de Grace through the announce table. This was a segment, not an additional sanctioned match. It gave Friday’s show its defining image without changing the night’s results.

Promos and backstage developments

The following developments are covered in PWTorch’s broadcast report and the linked TPWW account:

  • Cody Rhodes: He focused on Randy Orton and their Crown Jewel Last Man Standing match, invoking the damage to his eye at WrestleMania. Rhodes argued the survivor should be the leading title contender. That was his position in the promo, not confirmation of an added stipulation.
  • Danhausen’s laboratory: Black-and-white comedy framed the show. He tried to bargain for Stratton’s briefcase, while Lil Yachty’s laboratory visit supplied a gingerbread-man scare.
  • Green and Stratton: Green dressed as Nikki Bella. Stratton said she intended to cash in on Morgan, setting up the unsuccessful attempt later in the program.
  • Zayn and Williams: Both promised victory in interviews. Zayn looked ahead to Roman Reigns; Williams appeared with Yachty before his title opportunity.
  • Blake Monroe and Paige: Following footage of Monroe’s street fight with Giulia, Monroe promoted herself as championship material. Paige challenged that assessment, and the exchange became personal.
  • Women’s tag-team division: Michin and B-Fab rejected criticism of their title win. Fatal Influence interrupted the champions and Cargill, keeping another potential rivalry in view.
  • Damian Priest and Fraxiom: Priest demanded a title opportunity and threatened further violence. Fraxiom confronted him over R-Truth. Nathan Frazer’s willingness to challenge Priest did not please Axiom.
  • Next Friday: A video promoted CM Punk against Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match for the November 6 SmackDown broadcast.

CMLL: Xelhua becomes Rey del Inframundo

Xelhua won the four-way Rey del Inframundo match at Arena México, defeating defending champion Guerrero Maya Jr., Calavera Jr. I and Ráfaga Jr. Radio Fórmula’s report confirms the new champion.

Fightful’s results, posted Saturday, list the complete six-match Friday card:

  • Xelhua won the Rey del Inframundo four-way.
  • Hechicero defeated Darby Allin in a non-title singles match.
  • Mina Shirakawa defeated India Sioux.
  • Persephone won the three-way against Lluvia and Olympia.
  • Bárbaro Cavernario and Soberano Jr. won the three-team match against Los Depredadores and El Galeón Fantasma.
  • Los Herederos defeated Los Amos del Aire.

The available results establish those winners but do not provide a reliable detailed finish for every bout. This recap does not invent missing move sequences.
