During past elections, I often found myself scrambling to research candidates in the days before voting. This time has been different. Recent concerning events motivated me to become more involved in my local government and community.
I joined my local Indivisible group, where I met Jon Lipe. Through those conversations, I also became involved with my town’s Democratic Committee, and I am proud to be part of that work.
Jon is running for New York’s 119th Assembly District, and I want people to know the person I have come to know. I have been consistently impressed by his integrity, compassion, vision, and his genuine ability to connect with people across the district. More importantly, he listens. At a time when many people feel unheard, we need representatives who truly want to understand and engage with the communities they serve.
Jon brings a quiet and humble strength to public service, and his years of dedication to local government reflect his commitment to civic engagement. I am confident he approaches leadership with the interests of every constituent in mind, regardless of political affiliation.
I’ll be voting for Jon Lipe and encourage voters to learn more about him before heading to the polls. Vote for Jon Lipe in the June 23rd primary vote or take advantage of early voting.
