LATINO ASSOCIATION TO CELEBRATE HISPANIC HERITAGE AT LATINO AMERICAN
FESTIVAL AUGUST 25th

The Mohawk Valley Latino Association will kick off Hispanic Heritage
month on Sunday, August 25 with their annual Latino American Festival
2024 Hispanic Heritage Theme: “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future
Together, encapsulating the “spirit of innovation, resilience, and unity
that define the Hispanic experience”.
Utica, NY — The Mohawk Valley Latino Association is celebrating the
kick off of the 2024 Hispanic Heritage Month by hosting their annual
Latino American Festival from Noon until 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 25 at
Hanna Park, One Kennedy Plaza, Utica, NY. The event will showcase the
Hispanic Culture, ethnic foods, music and dancing presentations. MVLA is
happy to extend a cordial invitation to all community members and to our
sponsors.
This free admission event will feature live entertainment sponsored by
CNY Arts Grant with live Latino local and guest talent showcase
performances by Bronte & Latin Big Bang and DJ Salsa music. Other
activities include a Latino kids countries parade, Zumba, Dominoes
tournament, and children’s activities. Food and merchandise vendors will
also be available as well as non-profit and healthcare agencies. We are
currently accepting vendors until August 20th.

This annual gathers people, including visitors from other communities to
celebrate the Latino culture in the Mohawk Valley. All proceeds will be
used to support MVLA’s programs and efforts to provide basic and
emergency services to the Latino community. Sponsors of this year’s

The Mohawk Valley Latino Association was established to improve the
standards of living for Latino residents of the Mohawk Valley through
various services that will educate and empower them; to achieve
awareness amongst the different cultures of the Mohawk Valley; and to
help shape the minds of our youth and demonstrate to them the great
opportunities available within the Mohawk Valley and our Nation. For
