Late-breaking official news changed the wrestling desk after today’s earlier editions: TNA signs Shayna Baszler to a contract, confirmed the return of Destination X after a nine-year absence, and announced its first events in Calgary. Here is what is confirmed, what it means, and what remains unannounced as Thursday night’s television approaches.

Confirmed: Shayna Baszler is under contract with TNA
TNA made the signing official Thursday, saying Baszler has joined the company after the news was first reported by Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture. That distinction matters: this is no longer an insider claim or a “sources say” item. It is a company announcement.
The timing also gives the move immediate storyline weight. Baszler debuted for TNA at Bound For Glory on Oct. 11 and, alongside Zoey Serrano as The Apex, won the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship. TNA’s announcement therefore turns what could have been a one-event appearance into a longer-term commitment by an active champion.
Baszler brings an unusual blend of credibility to the Knockouts division. TNA noted her background as a multi-time singles and tag champion, plus a professional mixed-martial-arts record of 15 victories, 13 by submission. That résumé makes her especially valuable in a division where character presentation and believable in-ring danger can be just as important as surprise debuts.
What the signing could mean
The most immediate question is how TNA develops The Apex beyond the title win. Baszler and Serrano can work as dominant champions, but the stronger long-term story may be the pressure their presence puts on every team around them. A champion with Baszler’s established submission style gives challengers a clear obstacle: they must survive her pace and find a way to isolate the other half of the team.
It also gives TNA another experienced name who can help connect its current television audience with fans who followed Baszler through MMA, NXT and WWE. That is analysis, not a company promise. TNA has not announced the length or financial terms of the deal, and the promotion has not publicly laid out a complete title program for The Apex.
Confirmed: Destination X returns Nov. 15
TNA also announced that Destination X will return on Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Edmonton EXPO Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. The company says this will be the first Destination X event in nine years; the last edition was held in August 2017.
The revival is significant because Destination X has historically been closely associated with TNA’s X Division and its high-risk, high-speed identity. The name alone does not guarantee a particular match type or championship defense, however. TNA has announced the date, location, ticket information and a group of advertised talent, but fans should wait for official match announcements before treating any projected card as confirmed.
The company’s advertised talent list includes Matt Hardy, TNA World Champion Leon Slater, Knockouts World Champion Indi Hartwell, TNA World Tag Team Champions Nic and Ryan Nemeth, Moose, Trey Miguel, Xia Brookside, Mustafa Ali, Elayna Black, Cedric Alexander and others. TNA also says the event will include a post-show meet-and-greet.
Confirmed: TNA’s first Calgary events
Two additional events are set for Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 18–19, at the WinSport Event Centre in Calgary. TNA describes them as the promotion’s first shows in Calgary. Both nights will be taped for future episodes of Thursday Night iMPACT!, with U.S. distribution on AMC and AMC+, Canadian distribution on Sportsnet 360, and worldwide access through TNA+.
Calgary is not simply another tour stop. The city’s association with the Hart family, Stampede Wrestling and generations of technical wrestlers makes a debut there symbolically valuable. TNA is leaning into that history by sending producer and former champion Lance Storm, a Calgary resident, on a local media tour Nov. 5–6.
As with Destination X, the names advertised for Calgary are appearances, not confirmed matches. The company listed many of the same stars, including Hardy, Slater, Hartwell, the Nemeth brothers, Moose, Miguel, Brookside, Ali and Alexander. Each night is also scheduled to have a post-show meet-and-greet.

The rest of the wrestling desk
No separate late-afternoon official card change was found for WWE Raw, SmackDown or NXT; AEW Dynamite or Collision; ROH; CMLL; or AAA that would justify repeating material already covered earlier Thursday. Wednesday’s AEW results, Friday’s SmackDown lineup and tonight’s original TNA card are already covered in the Morning Bell. The broader afternoon analysis—including WWE’s Saudi Arabia travel questions and the fallout from AEW Dynamite—is in The 5 PM Bell.
That leaves this update where it belongs: on three concrete TNA announcements that arrived late enough—and carry enough long-term significance—to deserve their own bell.
