Join us as John Zogby Discusses Polling Insights in Mohawk Valley, sharing his expertise on the dynamics of voter behavior and polling accuracy.
ROME, N.Y. — Can Americans trust the polls? What are voters really thinking? And what do the numbers reveal just two weeks before the November 3 midterm elections?
Nationally recognized pollster, author and Utica native John Zogby will tackle these questions during a free public presentation hosted by the Mohawk Valley Institute for Learning in Retirement (MVILR). Zogby will also sell and autograph copies of his book, Beyond the Horse Race: How to Read Polls and Why We Should.
Zogby will present “Reading the Tea Leaves: What the 2026 Midterm Elections Could Mean for America” on Tuesday, October 20, from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. in the Armond J. Festine Auditorium at Mohawk Valley Community College’s Rome Campus, 1101 Floyd Ave.
Drawing on more than four decades of polling experience, Zogby will examine voter attitudes, shifting political priorities and what public opinion surveys reveal about the upcoming congressional elections.
His book, Beyond the Horse Race, takes readers behind the scenes of political polling, encouraging Americans to look beyond who’s winning and who’s losing. Through examples from past elections, Zogby explains how polls can reveal deeper changes in American society — and why even respected polls sometimes get it wrong.
Founder of Zogby International and senior partner at John Zogby Strategies, Zogby has conducted extensive public opinion research in the United States and internationally. His political analysis has appeared in major national media outlets.
The presentation offers Mohawk Valley residents a timely opportunity to hear from a nationally known political analyst with local roots. A question-and-answer session will follow.
Zogby will have copies of Beyond the Horse Race available for purchase and autograph signing at the event.
The lecture is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Free parking and accessible facilities are available.
