Rapper IDK and Credit Karma are promoting personal financial management by launching a money management contest and YouTube series.
The Maryland artist and financial management company are helping Gen Zers get out of debt through a contest starting now through Nov. 9. Contestants are asked to share their individual debt stories explaining how they acquired their debt or tell what steps they’ve taken to resolve their debt. Participants will have the opportunity to be one of five winners to receive $10,000 to pay down their debt.
Along with the contest, Credit Karma will launch “Midday with IDK,” a YouTube talk show, to educate young viewers on how to manage their money. If clearing debt through the contest doesn’t excite you, then celebrity guest appearances by BIA, 24kgoldn, DJ Millie, Buddy and Zach Bia will surely pique your interest.
Credit Karma believes the YouTube show can “help normalize conversations about money and let people know they’re not alone in their journey, while also helping a few people make real financial progress,” as reported by Forbes.
IDK chose to collaborate with Credit Karma after utilizing the finance company to educate himself.
“I was addicted to Credit Karma, using it every week to learn about the importance of credit and financial literacy,” IDK told Forbes.
Earlier this year, IDK used his status to provide Black and POC students with a life-changing opportunity. Through his No Label Academy, he taught essential information about the music business like financial literacy and monetization at Harvard University. Now a consultant for Credit Karma, IDK plans to create a more comprehensive understanding of personal financial management issues by incorporating financial education directly into his content.
Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity. Be sure to tag @creditkarma on social media and use #contest to submit your entry.
