For those of who want to get an early start on holiday shopping, the New York State Fairgrounds is a perfect place to start this weekend.
The Junior League of Syracuse is hosting its annual Holiday Shoppes in the Horticulture Building.
Vendors will have everything from winter gear and small kids toys to socks and flashlights. The vendors pay a fee to set up at the marketplace. The money is used to help the Junior League with its services all year long.
The non-profit is a women’s organization focusing on connecting women with the community to make it a better place.
“Last year, we did a virtual show on Facebook, but obviously, in person is so much better,” Amanda Perrine, Junior League of Syracuse president, said. “So this is our twenty fifth in person year. Just seeing our merchants, we have a lot that come back year after year. This year about half are also new which is wonderful so there’s a lot of great things even if you’ve been here many times before.”
The shops are open today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tickets are $7 in advance and $8 at the door.
