HERKIMER, NY, June 3, 2026 — Herkimer County Community College has appointed
Steve Boucher director of marketing and communications.
Boucher joined Herkimer County Community College in 2018 as an adjunct instructor
before becoming an assistant professor and chair of the College’s Business Department.
He has taught courses in business management, marketing management, retail
management, customer service and entrepreneurship.
Before entering higher education, Boucher spent nearly two decades with Transwestern
Publishing, where he advanced from account executive to executive vice president. In
that role, he managed a 14-state territory, oversaw more than 400 employees and
directed approximately $80 million in revenue operations.
Boucher also owned and operated The Soda Fountain restaurant in Remsen from 2008
to 2020, overseeing operations including marketing, finance, public relations and
human resources.
In addition to his professional experience, Boucher has served on the Oneida County
Board of Legislators since 2017, representing District 6. His leadership experience also
includes service with Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES, the Remsen Performing &
Visual Arts Center and the Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority.
Boucher earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from SUNY Oneonta and an MBA
from SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
