Cine-magician Ernie Gehr has been making inventive films since the 1960s. A prolific artist and an influential teacher, Gehr emerged during the heyday of “structural film” when filmmakers used filmmaking as a way of thinking about the fundamental elements of cinema and worked at generating new modes of film experience.

Gehr remains prolific and inventive. He returns to Hamilton with new digital video works.

Coming up:
Sunday, Nov. 12: Dawson City: Frozen Time (2016) presented by Bill Morrison
Sunday, Dec. 3: Tomonari Nishikawa presents recent work
