Police say that 16-year-old Christie Howard has been missing since Saturday, WSB-TV reports.

The Clayton County Police Department said that the teen was last seen leaving her home Saturday morning. On Jan. 8, the teen informed her mother through text that she was in good hands with a family member. Howard, however, didn’t name who she was with.

In a news release, Georgia authorities said, “Christie contacted her mother, via text message, advised her that she was safe & she was with a family member,” The Telegraph reports.

Howard was dressed in a blue Nike hoodie with white letters on the font, light-colored blue jeans and a “Lady Raiders Volleyball” embroidered book bag.

Clayton County Police Department has asked for help from the public concerning Howard’s whereabouts on Twitter.
