Six Onondaga County residents died from COVID-19, County Executive Ryan McMahon reported Friday, calling it a “very tough day.”
Three women in their 70s, one woman in her 60s, one male in his 70s and one male in his 50s were lost, McMahon said.
“It seems like we are starting to see a uptick in the horizon,” McMahon tweeted. “We know it’s coming.”
There were 318 new COVID-19 cases and 134 people hospitalized with the virus, including 31 receiving intensive care, 84% of whom were unvaccinated, McMahon said.
