UTICA, NY –What’s Upstate, an exciting initiative to promote the Mohawk Valley region, is currently hosting a “Casting Call” to look for positive, energetic, influential residents (who are not camera shy!) of Herkimer and Oneida Counties to share their authentic story about what our local “Upstate” area means to them. These unique stories will be featured on the upcoming What’s Upstate website, in video or testimonial form, to showcase and highlight the extraordinary people in our local area and tell our region’s story through our residents’ experiences.
Do you love living in the Mohawk Valley? Are you passionate about our local area and communities? Would you love to see continued growth here, and make a long-lasting impact? Then this opportunity is for you! The What’s Upstate Casting Call is open to all residents of Herkimer and Oneida Counties until Monday October 18th. Those interested are encouraged to visit whatsupstateny.com to learn more and apply to be featured.
About What’s Upstate:
Several area organizations, Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce, Community Foundation, Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce, Mohawk Valley EDGE, Oneida County Tourism, Rome Area Chamber of Commerce and The Genesis Group have come together to collaborate and create What’s Upstate-a regionally focused website that will be a one-stop shop to showcase all the reasons why Upstate New York is more than just a great place to live – it’s a great place to plant roots and create a forever home. The primary need for this site is to connect resources in Oneida and Herkimer Counties to enhance area employers’ ability to recruit, relocate and retain employees.
