CADE and SUNY Cobleskill offer a workshop on social media and digital marketing for farms and food businesses

On Wednesday, March 13th from 7 pm to 9 pm in Oneonta, NY, the Center for Agricultural
Development and Entrepreneurship (CADE) and SUNY Cobleskill will offer a free workshop for farms and food businesses on social media and digital marketing. The workshop is part of a 2019 Farm and Food Business Incubator Workshop series covering essential topics in business planning and management. Jim Manning, Senior Program Manager at CADE, notes: “It has never been easier to get your farm or food business online; the flip side is that your customers are overwhelmed with digital and social media and are going to tune you out unless you can find ways to cut through the clutter.” Lisa Wisely of Blue Spark Creative Services, a boutique full-service marketing agency in Delhi with a concentration on digital and social media, will help attendees develop approaches to online marketing that balance a reasonable investment of your time with the substantial rewards that come from building a positive online relationship with existing and potential customers. The workshop will focus on a variety of digital tools that any business could use including affordable website platforms, social media tools, cost-effective online advertising as well as a
host of free or low-cost digital tools that a new or growing company could use to speak to your potential customers. Lisa will discuss photo and editing tools, collaboration tools and look at best methods to host, distribute and grow email newsletters and communications.
