Assemblywoman Buttenschon to Support First Responders and Supporters at 12th Annual CNY Memorial Stair Climb

WHO:

– Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon (119th District)

WHAT

As first responders make their way through the Utica State Office Building this Saturday,
Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon and her staff will be stationed on the fourth floor, right
outside our office, offering popsicles, water, and a place to rest to those taking part in the climb. It is a
small gesture of gratitude, but one Assemblywoman Buttenschon has made a point of continuing every
year since taking office, with this year marking her eight consecutive year supporting the first

responders in this way.

For Assemblywoman Buttenschon, the stop on the fourth floor is about meeting the first responders in
the middle of their effort and thanking them, if only for a moment, for carrying the memory of our
fallen heroes with them one flight at a time. Members of the press are invited to join her on the fourth

floor to help distribute popsicles to the first responders as they pass through.

“My of ice and I are honored annually to support our first responders for their dedication and
commitment to the community, and appreciate all they do. We welcome you to join us in saying thank

you this Saturday.”
