Poet and Fulbright Scholar Afaa Weaver to Read From His Work at Hamilton College

Clinton, N.Y. – Poet and Fulbright Scholar Afaa Weaver will read from his work on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 8 p.m., at the Fillius Events Barn at Hamilton College. The event is free and open to the public.

Weaver’s work spans more than three decades and includes poetry, plays, and short fictions including: Water Song (1985), Rosa (1993), Government of Nature (2013), and The Ten Lights of God (2000).

His writing covers such topics as “family dynamics, American history and culture, Chinese and Asian culture and philosophies, and Jewish culture and religious history.” He has received the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Pew Fellowship, and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship.
