On Monday, January 6, 2025 at about 1945 hours, Rome Police Department’s patrol division responded to Air City Lofts, 143 Air City Blvd. in the City of Rome regarding a report of “shots fired.” Preliminary investigation revealed one round was fired inside an apartment and a possible second round was fired inside a nearby stairwell. No one was injured as a result of the shooting. One victim was located on scene, with non-life-threatening injuries sustained during a physical altercation. Two males were observed leaving the scene and getting into a dark color 4- door sedan. Currently the victim of the assault is uncooperative with the investigation.
