No matter our gender, generation, race, or background, we all want the best person representing us in Congress. We want someone who has the knowledge and experience to do the job well and has a commitment to the people they represent.
As a proud member of the New York State Teachers’ Union (NYSUT) I will be voting for Sarah Klee Hood for Congress. Sarah is a working mom with a passion for a better future for her children, and for all children. She strongly supports public schools and is committed to making her neighborhood and community a better place to live. She is driven to action. Her determination and service are evidenced in her life choices. Sarah received her MBA from SU, is an expert in climate policy, and has worked with small businesses to create jobs. Her experience as a Town Councilor adds to her wealth of knowledge. She has the energy and real ideas to deliver for NY 22.
Sarah’s natural leadership abilities were recognized in her service to our country as an Air Force officer where she commanded 143 people across 4 divisions. She advised on foreign policy concerning Russia and developed policy that is still in use today. Her experience as an air traffic controller proves her ability to quickly assess a situation and make good decisions under pressure. Sarah displays these skills when responding to questions in a forum. She answers clearly and concisely. She doesn’t ramble or glorify her accomplishments. Sarah takes responsibility for her actions and decisions. She doesn’t seek praise for herself or take credit for things that are due to others. These are traits I admire. Don’t you?
