Saweetie Confirms Plans To Teach A Class On Branding &

Over the weekend, Z100’s Jingle Ball New York City concert returned to Madison Square Garden with performances from this year’s favs, Lil Nas X, Doja Cat, Bazzi, Saweetie, and many more.

The icy girl experienced her first time in Madison Square for her debut Jingle Ball performance featuring her hit singles “Tap In,” “My Type,” and the grammy-nominated “Best Friend,” featuring Doja Cat.

Z100’s hosts, Gandhi and Danielle, spoke with the Grammy-nominated artist backstage at the Mercedes-Benz Interview Lounge, where she confirmed teaching rumors, sharing that she would be conducting a branding and marketing course at the University of Southern California.

“I confirm the rumors are true,” said Saweetie. “It’s important for businesses to evolve with modern consumers, generations z, the millennials; they are the people spending the money.”

The California native is no stranger to the lecture halls; in October, Saweetie taught a classroom of students alongside her old Professor Albert Napoli. She talked about the power of empathy, storytelling, and meditation, as Blavity reported.

Saweetie is the queen of modern-day marketing and branding. When asked about what someone ought to know when starting their brand, the “Tap In” rapper advised paying attention to your consumer.

“The consumer, what do they love, know who you are talking to; Know yourself,” she suggested.
