It was a beautiful fall night for high school football across Central New York.
The Friday Night Matchup live on Spectrum News 1 featured a meeting between RFA and Nottingham.
The Black Knights were coming in with a 1-2 record, while the Bulldogs were sitting at 0-3.
The meeting did not disappoint.
It was a high-scoring affair, with the Black Knights coming out on top after scoring a go-ahead touchdown with one minute left in the contest.
RFA senior Kaiden McCaskill said the home crowd, who came out on Homecoming night, made a big difference in the game.
“I love it. They’re all my friends. I grew up with most of them. They’re probably the best student section in the area. I can’t ask for more from them,” McCaskill said after the 55-52 victory.
Next week, the Friday Night Matchup will feature V-V-S and Oneida.
